• Our Vision

HomaCare was founded in 2015 to help healthcare organizations use their data to thrive. Our intuitive business intelligence tools are used to turn data into knowledge and solutions.

    The Current Situation

A Growing Home Health and Hospice Market with a Unique Set of Needs

Today, home health and home hospice make up over 35% of post-acute care destinations for Medicare patients and this number is expected to increase to nearly 45% by 2024. Two factors are driving this growth: first, as baby-boomers age, it adds more seniors to the market, and second, payers’ prefer allocating more reimbursement dollars towards home care, which provides better patient care for lower cost when compared to the other higher cost post-acute care alternatives.

These conditions are driving the emergence of a new set of home-based and hospice healthcare agencies while introducing significant challenges for existing ones. These new and established agencies are facing daunting operational challenges: attaining and maintaining patient satisfaction and desired outcomes in order to capture the relatively shrinking reimbursement dollars; having to provide increasingly more data to all involved parties - with penalties for inaccuracy; and facing a very demanding workforce and finding and retaining qualified care givers. So more must be done with less dollars available per patient and with a relatively volatile human resource situation.

    Your Options

Wait for Your Current EMR Vendor to Make Needed Changes – or – Find a Solution to Enhance What You Already Have in Place

Healthcare service providers have relied on their Electronic Medical Record (EMR) vendors to provide important enhancements specific to their unique needs for the data and knowledge required to operate efficiently and profitably. Hindering that solution are other pressing issues facing EMR companies: getting bogged down in programming for changing regulations; dealing with the disruption caused by company acquisitions and mergers; and a historically “closed” rather than open philosophy regarding interfacing and integration. This leaves widespread gaps in their ability to provide automation and complimentary product solutions such as data analytics, new remote worker tracking technologies, and data privacy and security compliance and analytics that are becoming mandatory for home and hospice healthcare delivery efficiencies. The reason: EMR vendors spend the majority of their time meeting the needs of their main market, Part A and Part B in-office/hospital medical providers, who don’t need these additional functions.

    Our Solution

We Turn Your Data into Knowledge to Create a Competitive Edge for You

Industry experts predict the next wave of healthcare IT innovations will utilize the Internet of Things (IoT) and real-time locating systems technology (RTLS). Businesses will be able to automatically identify and track the location of objects or people, combine health information exchange technologies and business intelligence tools with up-to-the-minute dashboards, and run their operations in the most effective manner, all in real-time.
HomaCare has created just that suite of integrated middleware solutions that address the industry’s need to connect its currently siloed systems and processes related to data, devices, and workers. We do this by integrating across platforms and creating an adaptable business logic layer with intelligence of remote objects. Through our interwoven product suite and ability to easily integrate with existing EMRs we provide these solutions and extensions:

    • dataSAVVY™️: A consolidated analytics solution that pulls data from your multiple existing systems and presents  your Key Performance Indicators at your fingertips on one dashboard, permitting you to address issues in near real-time before they become problems

    • fieldSAVV™️:  A GPS-based tracking system that helps you manage your field care givers by tracking mileage, location and time, improving accuracy and capturing required EVV data for compliance

    • paySAVVY™️:  A management solution that takes visit data (including service codes, addresses, and reimbursable mileage) and calculates the dollar amount payable to each field staff member in a format directly consumable by payroll systems, avoiding hours of manual effort
